Bonnie-Jo Smith (Ojo New York) is an avant-garde fashion designer specializing in transforming the functional elements of fashion into wearable sculpture. Through Smith’s vision, utilitarian materials such as zippers, hair, chains and aglets are repeated and reconstituted into jewel-like, precious objects.
A graduate from the School of The Art Institute of Chicago "SAIC" with a focus on Accessory Design, Bonnie-Jo Smith is now based in New York and creates bespoke, sculptural shoes and accessories under the brand Ojo New York.
